paisley and a new hats and braids

got cotton from dressew and hemmed it, voila: new bed sheets! They come in uber-floral and paisley. i love paisley like nobody's business.* also made a pillow sac with the paisley's leftovers. hold on... case, i meant case.
then my partner saw the fabric i got for the sheet, he used the word 'granny' or something to characterise it. i casually reminded him that a) thing is, i am so into grannies° and wholeheartedly plan on being a ragin' one myself someday, and b) i pride
myself on my general frumpiness.

that said, knit a new hat semi-recently (beautiful
hand spun and dyed wool, by a woman in
uruguay, fair trade):

it's warm and a very pretty-bunch-o'-greens, and pretty much the nicest hat i've made... or no, the 'cleanest' or 'most neatly done' one is more like it.

been makin' some other stuff too, but because i'm so tired and it's late, think i'll end this post with these :

braided a couple of my housemates' hairs (as in i braided the hair of a couple of people; i didnt braid just a couple of hairs, and their respective sets of hairs; they don't share their hair)! One's name is 9ah ([nine-uh]), the other is isaac rufus (i didn't have to use ONE bobby pin for isaac, his hair is THAT curly). when i am braiding a person's hair, i am also consciously cherishing them. hurray!

*my favourite fruit is mango too, so that makes sense. see the wiki article if you don't get what i'm sayin'.
°zzomg! the ragging grannies are most-rad!
i really love semicolons, to the point in which i overuse them and perhaps use them incorrectly.
