created for the olivia project, a constituent of the cultch's ignite! youth week festival.
i was paired with harrison of the local noise-making outfit half chinese.
i took care of the sights and harrison took care of the sounds.
for the performance, i wore a dress i made as well as a critter mask.
harrison wore his own animal mask. we basically ran around on stage and hit shit with egg beaters and drumsticks. stuff like a fire bell, some cymbals, the ground, a cookie tin full of chalk, lots of stuff. we had a freak out while the above piece was projected on the far wall behind us.
i felt really fucked up before, during, and after. and broke skin and had bruises after. not really my kind of performance art. just so fuckin' reckless and tryin' to effortlessly be 'about something'. i learned some stuff though. it kinda reinforced the choice i made to go to clown school in the fall. that's right... i'm doin' it!
